A Taiwan male patient aged 22 years 6 months who complained about chewing difficulty and esthetic problem. This patient was diagnosed to have skeletal class II pattern with anterior open bite of -6.0mm and increased lower facial height. Moreover, posterior crossbite and end on class II relationship was noted. Treatment plan was es-tablished in non-extraction and upper arch distalization, expansion and molar intrusion with miniplate anchor-age. After treatment of 35 months(go to the military for 12 month), ideal occlusion and harmony facial profile were achieved by upper molar intrusion and distaliza-tion. This result suggest that minplate anchorage is use-ful and powerful for intrusion of molars in non-growing anterior open bite cases.要 約:本論文は,大臼歯圧下の確実な固定源としてミニプレートを用いた重度の骨格性前歯部開咬の症例報告である.初診時22歳6か月の台湾人男性で,咀嚼困難と審美障害を訴えていた.前歯部に-6.0mmの開咬と過大な下顔面高をもつ骨格性Ⅱ級パターンと診断され,臼歯部の交叉咬合とⅡ級関係をともなっていた.治療方針は非抜歯で,上顎歯列弓の遠心移動と拡大,ならびにミニプレート固定を用いた大臼歯の圧下を行うこととした.治療期間は35か月(兵役12か月を含む)で,上顎大臼歯の圧下と遠心移動により理想的な咬合と均整のとれた顔貌が得られた.この結果から,ミニプレート固定は,成人の前歯部開咬症例における大臼歯圧下に対して有効で強力であることが示唆された.第1症例成人期重度骨格性Ⅱ級開咬に対するミニプレートを用いた非外科的矯正治療質問者:伊藤学而*1,中島榮一郎*2*1代表編集委員:鹿児島大学名誉教授,*2代表編集委員:東京都文京区開業CASE STUDY第15回症例検討:他流試合於:臺北醫學大學矯正学科
