The 18th ICOI Asia-Pacific Section Congress

　さる11月13日（金）から15日（日）までの3日間、アンコール・ミラクル・リゾート＆スパ（カンボジア・シェムリアップ）において「The 18th ICOI（International Congress of Oral Implantologists）Asia-Pacific Section Congress」が、世界中から500名以上を集め、盛大に開催された。日本からはスタディグループJAID（Japanese Academy for International Dentistry）を中心に約100名が参加し、学術的な活動への積極性を示した。

　主なプログラムの内容は、13日（金）に鈴木貴規氏（ニューヨーク大歯学部歯周インプラント科臨床教授）が「Problems of excess cements in implant dentistry」、14日（土）に鮎川保則氏（九大病院口腔機能修復科口腔機能修復学講座講師）が「The establishment and persistence of osseointegration and peri-implant soft tissue sealing. An experimental study」、15日（日）に春日井昇平氏（医歯大大学院医歯学総合研究科インプラント・口腔再生医学教授）が「How to avoid problems in dental implant treatments」、Dr. Ady Palti（元ICOI会長、ニューヨーク大歯学部教授）が「New Techniques, Materials, and Instruments for Sinus Elevation In the Daily Practice Including Troubleshooting」と題し、それぞれが講演を行った。

　なお、14日（土）のガラパーティーは、2015年3月に米国のオバマ大統領夫人であるミシェル・オバマ氏がカンボジア・シェムリアップを訪問した際に歓迎式典が行われたプラサット・クラヴァン（Prasat Kravan）遺跡にて神秘的な雰囲気の中、執り行われた。
